As part of the Shrewsbury River Festival, which took place on 8th June, a team of intrepid rafters, comprising colleagues from Multisol UK, Brenntag Solvents and Multisol France, returned to the waters to compete in the River Severn Charity Raft Race.

This year’s team finished in a very respectable fifth place from a field of fifteen rafts. More importantly, the crew of eight have helped to raise significant funds for local charities.

“Our fundraising efforts are going well,” says Andrew Lamb, Key Account Manager, Multisol. “Along with our race donation which has contributed towards raising over £3,700 for the North Wales and Midlands Air Ambulance Service, we have helped to raise over £3,000 for St Rocco's Hospice in Warrington.”

“On behalf of the rafters, the support team and volunteers, plus the charities that we have been fundraising to support, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters; those who came to see the race and to cheer the team on, along with those who have contributed towards our fundraising activities by donating and participating in the very popular cake sales and Friday quizzes.”
