Responsible Care

Multisol has been a member of the Chemical Business Associations' (CBA - formerly the BCDTA) Responsible Care Programme since its inception in 1993.  

Our CEO has committed Multisol to Responsible Care’s eight guiding principles, to its sustainable development and to continuous improvements in health, safety and environmental management.  

We assess ourselves against these Principles on a regular basis. Every year, we report on our performance to the CBA.  This data is aggregated and published as the chemical distribution industry’s Indices of Performance.  Every three years we prepare a rolling Improvement Plan to drive improvements in health, safety and environmental management.

In the last ten years, CBA’s Responsible Care statistics show:

• A 75% reduction in road traffic accidents involving the distribution of chemicals by BCDTA member companies; and,
  
• A 25% reduction in accidents to employees

We continue to drive for operational excellence and improvement - this has been recognised by receiving the CBA's Responsible Care Award for the second time in 2007. 

Multisol is the only CBA member to have gained this award on more than one occasion - the first presentation being made at the CBA Diamond Award Ceremony in 2003.
