The end of an era at Multisol!

After almost three decades of exemplary service, Bob Mears has decided to retire. He leaves Multisol with the following message for all of his colleagues.

I just want to say a huge thank you to you all for your friendship and your good wishes.

I have worked for Multisol for twenty seven and a half years and, as was pointed out to me, that is longer than some of you have been around in total!  I feel that it is time to move on and I am sure there are some who will say "Not before time".

I joined a very small company called Multisol based in Knutsford as a Sales Manager. Rather than just selling Exxon Chemicals and Paramins I was found in the first few months, not only travelling around to see customers, but doing other tasks like helping to build the bund walls at Irlam! As time passed I have done numerous jobs; at one stage I was stand-by Lab Manger, worked in order processing, stocktaking and compliance but sales was the key job and hopefully I contributed to the company's growth.

With the rapid growth of Multisol I focused on solvent sales along with somebody called Mike Rushton, then moved to focus on lubricant sales especially Petro-Canada before adding the task of REACH compliance as well.

I must say that for the majority of the time it has been most enjoyable and I have been very lucky in meeting and working with some wonderful people.

I have many fond memories to look back on, thank you to all that have been part of these as they will be treasured; hopefully I will be remembered as well and not just for the bread and cakes!

Multisol has been a major part of my life for so long, I am sure I will miss it but I know that, for me, it’s the right time to change my lifestyle and once I have completed my domestic chores I will be able to enjoy retirement with Pam and the children and especially my granddaughter.

Again, many thanks for putting up with me and I hope that you will all have success and happiness in your lives in the future.

Regards
Bob
