ESADII

Multisol has played a key role in the further development of the European Single Assessment Document, known as ESAD II.  The company piloted the new pan-European voluntary assessment scheme for distributors in 2004, having been part of the original trial for ESAD.

ESAD II avoids the need for distributors to undergo multiple assessments by chemical producers and can also be used by chemical distributors to check their compliance with Responsible Care.  ESAD II is a development of the first ESAD document launched in 1998 and was re-launched in Brussels on 15 October 2004.

ESAD II takes the form of a questionnaire used by independent assessors and Multisol was the first company to be reassessed, back in 2007.  The assessment data is available to registered users of the CEFIC SQAS website to enable suppliers to benchmark an assessed company. 

ESADII assessments will take place every three years.
